The TopDutch Weekend Guide 6th-8th of December

It’s the first full week of advent which means there’s no escaping the festive spirit in the TopDutch region. Whether you want a fun party to get down with your friends, family or colleagues, a Christmas market to find some cute gifts, or something more calm to relax with your loved ones, you’ll find something for you this weekend. Wrap up warm, fill your mug with mulled wine or hot chocolate and enjoy these winter warmers.

For the Christmas spirit

The largest Christmas bauble

Generally, the TopDutch are a pretty modest population. But there’s one pretty big exception. Or the biggest exception, to be exact – the biggest Christmas bauble in the world! For December, the whole of DOT’s dome gets covered in 6,000 LEDs, and is turned into one giant Christmas decoration. To celebrate, they’re throwing a party to get you into the Christmas spirit, with everything you need for the best holiday party: mulled wine, Christmas trees, and Mariah Carey blasting from the speakers.
